Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian appeared on the Today show this morning — she did two segments, one with Savannah Guthrie (above), the other with Kathie Lee and Hoda — to promote the upcoming season of Kim & Kourtney Take Miami, but most of the talk was focused on Kim’s pregnancy.
Kim said the pregnancy was a surprise, because she claims she had fertility issues, as well. “Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens,” said Kim, adding she’s due in July. “That’s an exciting moment, you can plan for things like that. So I think it’s just such a blessing knowing my circumstances.”
Kim also related a backstage conversation she and Kourtney had: “(Kourtney) said that in the old days, and maybe we should try this … one sister should babysit all the kids … so I can go out out or vice-versa and, you know, whichever sister is babysitting should breastfeed all the kids that are there,” said Kim.
Kourtney said she wasn’t exactly suggesting they follow that tradition: “I said, that’s what they did back in the day,” Kourtney said. “I didn’t say that let’s try this.”
When asked, what’s the hold-up with finalizing her divorce to Kris Humphries, Kim said, “I can’t speak for anyone else (about why Kris hasn’t signed)..It’s a process. … It’s happening, hopefully.”
So when that’s done, will she marry Kanye West?
“It’s something that we talk about, but I think it’s just right now (we’re) focusing on the baby,” said Kim. “What I’ve learned in life is — I was always such a planner, and … you think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don’t plan.”
