Lindsay Lohan and friend Claus Hjelmbak (in 2011), who says he witnessed Lindsay being attacked Saturday by Christian LaBella, who allegedly choked her after she saw he took photos on his cell phone in NYC’s W Union Square Hotel.
Lindsay Lohan‘s friend Claus Hjelmbak says he witnessed the Liz & Dick actress being attacked by 25-year-old congressional aide Christian LaBella early Sunday morning in her W Union Square Hotel room, after she attempted to grab his cell phone, which contained photos of from her their evening out.
The trio were spotted earlier in the evening at NYC’s Catch restaurant and 1OAK nightclub. Claus says the pair met Christian through a mutual acquaintance, and that he ended up trailing the pair the rest of the evening, before heading with them to the W Hotel.
The photos are not scandalous, says Claus, adding, “there was nothing to take pictures of…there are photos of her going in and out of car, and of her at the hotel.”
PLUS, Lindsay had reason to be irate: According to Claus, Christian had already emailed the photos of Lindsay to others — without her knowledge!
Claus says he’s in disbelief that the NYPD dropped assault and harassment charges. (Instead, Lindsay and Christian are filing harassment claims against each other.)
“I am beyond shocked the charges have been dropped,” Claus exclusively tells GossipDavid.com. “I am personally mortified. I saw with my own eyes how Lindsay was attacked. I had to physically remove this guy from Lindsay. I was afraid she was going to get choked! I was really shocked to see her attacked like that.”
He also scoffs at reports which claim Christian says no photos were taken. “I’ve heard reports that the guy denies having taken the pictures, which is a flat-out lie, as we saw the pictures of Lindsay on the phone. I was a firsthand witness to this! And they had already been emailed out! There was a whole series of photos documenting that night. The guy clearly had something to hide since he turned into a monster and agressively attacked Lindsay. It was a frightening scene — almost out of a horror movie! I stand 100 percent behind Lindsay in this matter and hope justice will be served.”
