Katie Holmes is continuing to set up roots in NYC, where she will soon return to Broadway: She’s enrolled daughter Suri, 6, in a $40,000-a-year private school opening this fall called Avenues.
“Katie has eagerly been telling Suri all about the lunchrooms, basketball courts and different activities Avenues offers,” a source tells Life & Style. “Suri’s really excited about it.”
Suri will start the first grade at the school, which is located near their apartment in Chelsea. The school has a fitness center and rooftop playground, plus a main gym that includes full-size basketball and volleyball courts. The school also has a partnership with nearby Chelsea Piers athletic facilities, where Suri has taken gymnastics classes.
As for the curriculum, Suri will study the basic subjects, in addition to learning Spanish or Mandarin.
