Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s one-year wedding anniversary is this Sunday — April 29 — but don’t expect the royal couple to go all out for the milestone.
A spokesperson for William and Kate has said they’ll be spending the weekend alone in private, following a busy week of engagements. (They are due at a premiere Wednesday and will make two appearances Thursday.)
So what will their quiet weekend consist of? A source exclusively tells U.K. magazine Grazia, “William is cooking for them. It’s a joke between them that his culinary skills were what originally wooed Kate all those years ago.” The magazine notes that Venison stew is one of William’s specialties.
And after dinner? “They’ll probably watch a DVD and reflect on the past year,” says the source. “They really are old before their time, and it’s not very glamorous, but they’re very happy.”
