The global grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization ONE — which consists of 2.5 million people committed to fighting extreme poverty and preventable diseases – today launched a new PSA called “I Predict” to support its “Beginning of the End of AIDS” campaign.
The sixty-second PSA features actors declaring humorous and farfetched predictions for the year 2015, along with one very realistic prediction: the beginning of the end of AIDS.
For example, actor Edward James Olmos predicts “fax machines make a huge comeback” and “pigs will fly,” actress Allison Janney predicts “Charlie Sheen will be President,” and actress Melanie Lynskey predicts “there will be no more kittens on YouTube.” Others in the PSA include Blythe Danner, AnnaLynne McCord, Ice T, Martin Starr, Richard Jenkins and Jason Ritter.
Viewers are encouraged to tsign a petition calling for the reversal of proposed budget cuts to the life-saving AIDS program PEPFAR and for the fulfillment of ONE’ commitments to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Visit ONE.org to sign the petition and help ONE reach its goal of 250,000 signatures by the end of 2012.
